In June 1998, Robert Stuart (Chairman of ARA) presented a lecture to the Japan Audio Society on multichannel coding and recording methods.
The lecture included a demonstration of surround including discrete B-format Ambisonic playback in a system using MLP Lossless Compression to fit the B-format onto a regular CD.
